Thousands of people are looking for ways to make money online and although it sometimes sounds too good to be true it can actually be done. One of the most simple ways to make money online is by blogging and there are many people that are making a great income doing so.

You can blog about absolutely anything ranging from writing your own daily journals to writing about crafts, animals, cars or about blogging itself. There really is no limit to the topics that you can blog about. The income that bloggers make comes from the advertising that they place on the blog but it is not quite as easy as just writing blog posts and placing ads all over your blog. You do need to be strategic with the placement of your advertisements as you don’t want your blog to look like one big advertising blog.

Too much blatant advertising will make your blog cheap and nasty and not at all professional looking. You want your advertising to be subtle and to blend with the site and with the topic of the site. So don’t go advertising scrapbooking products if your site is about skateboards.

It is a good idea to get your blog up and running before even placing any advertising on it at all. Build up your reputation in your niche and establish some regular readers and then when you do recommend a product or two they are likely to trust your recommendations.

It is recommended to add an optin box to your blog so that you can build a subscriber list which is a great way to build a personal and trusting relationship with your readers. Once again though, when you send emails to your subscribers don’t just send lots of emails trying to sell things. Send your subscribers emails with good quality content that they will enjoy reading and occasionally recommend a product to them through the emails.

Building a relationship with your readers and gaining their trust can take your blogging business to a whole new level. You will increase your sales by a large amount by building a list and building that relationship. Once you have customers that trust you then they will come back and possibly be repeat buyers for the products that you recommend.

It is also important when you do recommend products to your readers that you only recommend good value products. Look at it as if you were in their shoes as I’m sure you would hate to have someone recommending a product to you only for you to find out that it isn’t worth the money you spend on it. To keep your subscribers trust so that they will be return buyers then it is important to only recommend good value products.

To sum it up, keep you blog interesting, tidy and of good value and you should become quite successful at making money by blogging. Remember to build a list and build a relationship with your subscribers and your sales will go through the roof.

This is a blog that I think everyone should visit and learn how you can contribute to helping the environment.  Jim is very passionate about helping the environment and saving our planet.  He gives some excellent tips on what you can do to help become ‘green’ and give the environment a helping hand.

This is a topic that is becoming more important as more damage is done to our environment from all the chemicals and polutions that we put into it.  There are many ways in which we can help and even the small changes that we make can make a big difference if enough people make them.

Jim’s blog mainly focuses on cleaning products and how something simple like changing the type of cleaning product you use to an environmentally friendly product can have a positive effect on our planet.

This blog is simple, easy to read and I think it is great that Jim is devoting his blog to this worthy, worthy cause of protecting our world.

I have been using Wordpress for my blogs for quite some time and the last couple of blogs that I’ve set up are in the updated version.  When I first logged into the admin area with the new version I had no idea what I was doing, it was all so different.  Now after using it for a few days I’m really liking the new version.

The layout is very different from the old version and my problem now is that most of my blogs are still on the old version with just a couple on the new one, so going back and forward between the two versions gets a bit confusing.  I think I may have to update them all to the new version as I really do quite enjoy using the new one.

I have recently set up an actual website using Wordpress at http://www.workfromhome-internetbusiness.com and I really am just loving Wordpress.  This is the first actual website that I’ve done and I’m pretty pleased with it so I plan on doing many more using Wordpress.  My new blog for that site you can find at http://www.workfromhome-internetbusiness.com/blog which is the one set up using the new version.

So if you’re not using Wordpress yet then what are you waiting for???  I don’t recommend using a free Wordpress blog as I heard from a colleague the other day who had one and Wordpress pulled the plug on it for no reason - can happen with Blogger also.  That is the risk of having a free blog and if they pull the plug on your blog with no notice, you have lost all the content that you have worked so hard on.  So get yourself some paid hosting - it’s not that expensive and install Wordpress for your blog.  Find out more with my free Black Spider Blogging report at http://www.blackspiderblogging.com

I think the Internet Marketing Writer Blog at http://imwriterblog.com/ is problaby one of my favourites of all the blogs I have reviewed.  I’m not sure why, maybe because I relate to niche or just because I like the colors, the theme, the layout, it’s all good.  The three column blogs are really growing on me now, I think they are very effective.

It’s very neat and everything blends well which I really like in a blog.  Writing as a freelancer can be a very good business and I think it’s great that Kristi has set up her blog about this business.  If writing is something that you are interested in doing as a business then by following the posts in this blog you will learn exactly how to go about it.

Kristi also covers other areas of Internet Marketing as well as stress relief and balancing IM and home life, which is not always easy so have a read of the tips in this blog they can really help.  I hope Kristi does really well with this blog, and I have no doubt that she will because she really has put a lot of effort into the blog and offers top quality information in all her posts.

Creative Home Computing - http://www.creativehomecomputing.com/ is the blog that I am reviewing today. 

Firstly - I LOVE the theme for this blog, it is very stylish, yet simple and sophisticated.  I love the way things just blend together on the sidebar etc.  Great theme and probably the sort of theme you could use in almost any niche.

The content of this blog is really good.  It covers a wide variety of information relating to computers and what you can do with your computer.  It has a category about making money online and yet it doesn’t concentrate solely on that giving you other ideas and information on computer use.

The information that it gives is quite unique and detailed and is the sort of information that most other blogs leave out, that is my opinion anyway.  I think it is great and definately worth a visit.

I love the computer crafting section and this is an area that I’m sure would be very popular.  I didn’t realise there was so much that you could do with your computer until I read this blog.

Go and give Creative Home Computing a visit, you wont regret it, it really is a very good and informative blog.

Todays blog review is away from the normal topics that I have reviewed in the past.  Today I am reviewing the blog ‘Canadian Welcome’ which you will find at http://canadianwelcome.ca . Canada is a country that I would love to visit.  I have watched documentaries and seen my Mum’s photos after she had a trip to Canada and it just looks beautiful.  I think when the day comes that I go to Canada I may have to leave the kids home!!

This website gives some very good information about Canada and what it is like to live in Canada.  For anyone living there or wanting to visit there then this is a great blog to visit and read up on before going.  There isn’t much about Canada that isn’t covered in this blog and it is written in an easy to read manner.  It is a very friendly and informative blog.

As far as information on the topic of Canada goes, this blog is fantastic.  There are a couple of things that I would change if it were my blog though.  Keep up with the great information but if this was my blog I would add a Wordpress theme to give it a more welcoming feel.  You can get free themes at http://www.wpthemesfree.com/ and it really does make a big difference to the ‘feel’ of the blog.

The second thing that I would add is some photos.  Canada is such a lovely country with the most spectactular scenery and I think a few photos of Canada throughout the posts would look fantastic.

Overall though, this is a very good blog and one that I enjoyed reading.

Today’s blog review is for a blog called TrafficLicious which you will find at http://trafficlicious.com/. My first impression of this blog was that this is a blog of a professional.

The colors being black/red/white are very effective and give a professional look.  There is a lot of information and quite a few categories giving some great information for both new and experienced Internet Marketers.  Categories include article marketing, blogs, affiliate marketing, keyword research, social bookmarking, traffic analysis and more.  For anyone looking for information on Internet Marketing then TrafficLicious blog is a great place to look.

The three columns across the top before the posts start is very effective and definately get’s the message across.  The three colums within the blog body is quite good also.  I was never very keen on three column blogs but now that I have seen a few good one’s I am starting to like the three columns and if they are set up well they can be quite effective.

I think the only thing with this blog that I’m not 100% sure of is the centering of the post text.  I’m not sure if I’ve seen text centered like that in a blog before and I think I do prefer the left or full justified text.  That is only a very minor thing though and overall the blog is very good.

A well layed out blog with a good color scheme and very informative posts, you don’t get much better than that.

There are many people who do blog just for fun but it is also becoming a very popular way to earn an income online. The blogging business is really starting to boom as it is an incredibly easy type of business to have. Here are some tips that may help you to get your blogging business up and running.

• Do keyword research on your niche and don’t just use the one keyword but use many keyword phrases that relate to your niche. The main keyword for your niche could have a lot of competition and you could struggle to gain good traffic and a good search engine ranking. By using long tail keyword phrases there will be less competition and you will rank much higher in the search engines. So keyword research is always important if you want your blog to be successful.

• Make your blog posts interesting and give your readers good quality content. If you have bad content then your visitors are not likely to return to your blog. The best way to succeed with blogging is to have those visitors coming back to your blog over and over again. By offering good quality content your readers will return and be regular visitors to your blog.

• To earn money blogging to will need to have some advertising or affiliate links within your blog but just don’t overdo it. There is nothing worse than a blog that is just filled with advertising. It looks cheap and nasty and will turn visitors away very quickly. So don’t overdo advertising and be subtle with your advertising.

• Update your blog regularly. One problem that many bloggers have is that they start a blog and it all goes well for a couple of weeks. Then something else takes their interest and the blog gets left behind. For your blog to be successful you need to update it on a regular basis. Try to post to your blog at least once a week and more often if you can. The more you post to your blog the higher ranking you will get and the more successful it will be.

When your blog starts to become well known and attracting a lot of traffic you will start to become known as an expert in your niche. Maintain your good reputation by keeping your content good and accurate.

These tips are fairly easy and hopefully will give your blogging business a boost and have you earning that income that you dream of.

WOW!

The first thing I noticed when I looked at this blog was the header and it just blew me away.  What a magnificent header!  I am so impressed just with this header alone - and a little jealous, it is really effective.

At first I wasn’t too sure about the three columns and wasn’t sure about the posts being in such a small column.  However, when I stayed a while and read some posts the column size on the main page grew on me.  Then I realised this was the site home page and I clicked on the blog link which took me here http://trafficbeast.com/blog/

Alan is obviously a creative guy and I just love how he uses images throughout his posts and the video on the sidebar. Images are very effective and make a blog more appealing and it really is a great idea to use images throughout your blog.

This is a fairly new blog but I think it will be quite successful.  There is some very good, quality information and is not overflowing with advertising.

Blogging Zoom as many of us know is a great social bookmarking site that will help you get more exposure for your blog.  But let’s face it, if your posts never make front page on Blogging Zoom then is it really going to increase your traffic.

Is there anything that you can do to help make your posts go ‘hot’ and get to that sought after front page spot?

There sure is and it’s all a matter of being an active member in the Blogging Zoom community.  I have read on Vic’s blog that the members that tend to do best with Blogging Zoom and receiving lots of zooms are the one’s that are active and zoom other people’s posts and perhaps even add other members to their friends list.

Now I know as Internet Marketers and Bloggers we are all busy and will often have a few things on the go at once and so you may be thinking that you just don’t have the time to spend zooming everyone else’s posts.

Well, here is a simple tip that I use and have found to be quite effective.

Each time that I submit a post to Blogging Zoom, once I press the ’submit’ button it then takes me to the ‘Upcoming Posts’ page.  Once I am on this page, I will make a point to go down the page and zoom the posts on that page.  You know doing this I actually come across some very interesting posts and blogs and have gained some good quality information.

You’ll be surprised if you start doing this that other members will start to zoom your posts and add you as their friends.  Soon your name will be recognised in the Blogging Zoom circle and your posts will go hot and you will make that sought after first page spot.  As a result you WILL see an increase in traffic to your blog.

So get zooming and if you aren’t a member of Blogging Zoom then WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!
